Terms of Service
Plain terms for a small product. Diffr is free to use; the paid thing is a licence that silences the support nag. This page says what you get, what it costs, and how to stop paying.

Who you're buying from
Diffr is made and sold by DEV360 LLC, a Georgia limited liability company. These terms apply to the getdiffr.com website, the Diffr desktop application, and any licence you buy from us. Using the app or buying a licence means you accept them.
Everything is sold directly by us. There is no reseller, no marketplace and no third party involved in your purchase besides our payment processor, Stripe.
The app is free
Diffr is free to use, permanently, with every feature enabled. There is no trial, no countdown, no locked functionality and no account requirement. You can download it, review code with it and never pay us anything.
Occasionally the app asks you to support the work. A valid licence silences that request. That is the entire difference between paying and not paying — you are buying support for a one-person product, not unlocking features.
What a licence covers
A Personal licence is scoped to one GitHub account. It is valid on every computer signed in to that account — macOS, Windows or Linux — and it keeps working offline after the first sign-in. It is for you as an individual; it is not transferable between GitHub accounts.
If a company pays you to review code and Diffr is part of that work, that is business use, which a personal licence does not cover. We offer a separate Business tier. Its price depends on seat count and is not published — email [email protected] and we will quote it.
Delivery is immediate and entirely digital. On successful payment the licence is attached to your GitHub account and the app picks it up the next time you sign in. Nothing is shipped, and there is no physical product.
Price and renewal
The current Personal licence price and billing interval are shown on the pricing page.
It renews automatically at the interval shown when you subscribe until you cancel. The price excludes any tax that may apply where you are.
Payment is handled by Stripe. You see the price and the billing interval before you reach the card form. We never receive or store your card details — see the privacy policy.
If we ever change the price, the change applies to renewals after we tell you, never retroactively to a period you have already paid for.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from your account, which opens the Stripe billing portal. No email required, no retention flow, no one to talk to first.
Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your licence stays valid until the end of the period you have already paid for, then lapses on its own. The app keeps working — it is free — and the support request comes back.
Refunds
Email us within 30 days of a charge and we refund it in full, without asking why. The full terms, including how to request one and what happens after the window closes, are on the refund policy.
Your code
Diffr reviews code on your machine. Your repositories, diffs, file contents and file paths are never sent to us. The application checks our update server after launch and contacts GitHub only when you start sign-in. Neither request includes your code.
You keep every right to your own code. Nothing in these terms gives us a licence to it.
Acceptable use
Do not:
- Share, resell or sublicense your licence to another GitHub account.
- Use a personal licence for business use — that is what the Business tier is for.
- Attempt to forge, tamper with or bypass the licence signature, or distribute tools whose purpose is to do so.
- Use the site or the API in a way that degrades it for other people.
If a licence is being used in a way these terms prohibit, or a charge is reversed after we have issued the licence, we may revoke it. We will email you first at the address on the account.
Warranty and liability
Diffr is provided as is. It is a code review tool built by one person; it makes no guarantee of being available, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose, and it is not a substitute for your own judgement about a change before you push it.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to Diffr or a licence is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost data, lost revenue or lost time.
Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be limited under the consumer law that applies to you.
Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or from Diffr must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Georgia, and each party consents to venue and personal jurisdiction there.
Nothing in this section takes away a protection that the consumer law of your own country or state gives you and does not let you waive.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. The date at the top of this page is when they last changed. If a change materially affects what you have paid for, we will email the address on your account before it takes effect, and cancelling before then is always an option.
