Refund Policy
Diffr is free to use, so nobody has to pay at all. If you paid and would rather not have, we give the money back.

The policy
Email us within 30 days of a charge and we refund it in full. We will not ask why.
This applies to the first charge and to every renewal. Each renewal charge starts a new 30-day refund window.
The current Personal licence price and billing interval are shown on the pricing page. There is no partial refund, no restocking fee and no deduction for time used — you get the whole charge back.
How to ask
Email [email protected]. To make it quick, include one of:
- the GitHub username the licence is attached to, or
- the email address you paid with.
That is the whole process. There is no form, no ticket number, and nothing to return — the product is digital and there is no physical item to ship back.
After the refund
The refund goes back to the card or payment method you paid with, via Stripe. We issue it as soon as we read the email; how long it takes to appear on your statement is up to your bank, not us.
Your subscription is cancelled so it cannot renew, and the licence is removed from your GitHub account. Diffr keeps working — the app is free and every feature stays enabled. The occasional support request comes back, which is the only thing the licence was silencing.
After 30 days
Past the window we do not refund the period that has already run, but you can cancel at any time so it does not renew again. Your licence stays valid until the end of the period you paid for, then lapses on its own.
If something has genuinely gone wrong — a duplicate charge, a charge on an account that is not yours, a renewal after you thought you had cancelled — email us whenever you notice. Those are mistakes, not refund requests, and we fix them regardless of the date.
Cancelling vs refunding
They are different things, and you can do either from the same place:
- Cancelling stops future renewals and leaves the current period running. Do it yourself from your account, which opens the Stripe billing portal.
- Refunding reverses a charge that has already happened. That one needs an email, because a person has to issue it.
Business licences
The same 30-day, no-questions policy applies to business licences. Pricing for those depends on seat count and is agreed by email — [email protected].
Chargebacks
If you do not recognise a charge, please email us before disputing it with your bank. Diffr is sold by DEV360 LLC, so the name on your statement may be the company rather than the product — that is usually the whole explanation.
A dispute takes weeks and costs both of us; an email takes a day and ends with the same money back in your account. We have never refused a refund inside the window.
